Everything You Need to Know About the CX Showcase at Oracle OpenWorld 2017

This year, Oracle’s annual OpenWorld conference, held in the Moscone Center in San Francisco on October 1 – 5, features a CX Showcase: a focus area for marketing, sales, service, and ecommerce professionals highlighting business transformation and emerging technology themes including AI.

Oracle OpenWorld 2017 is doubling down on Smarter CX at the CX Showcase at The EXchange. Innovation and business transformation are key themes, expressed through keynotes, 25+ solution demos, partner highlights, and customer success stories. Here’s everything you need to know about activities at the CX Showcase at OpenWorld 2017.

Modern CX Hackathon

A two-day “Hack a Smarter Customer Experience” hackathon event kicks off the CX Showcase at OpenWorld 2017 on September 29 – 30, 2017 at the Capgemini Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE) in San Francisco.

This technical challenge will consist of showcasing a unique use case which utilizes an Oracle Customer Experience SaaS technology and an innovative Oracle PaaS component like IoT, AI, or Big Data.

Hackathon teams are challenged to showcase an Oracle Customer Experience use case from marketing, sales, and/or service that features an innovative Oracle PaaS component and delivers the ability to either connect data, connect consumer experiences, or connect intelligence, and will be judged on how well they’ve have executed and demonstrated the solution in a quick 3 minutes.

CX Exhibit Area

The CX Showcase at Oracle OpenWorld will take place in the Moscone Center, South Exhibition Hall near Fourth Street. See the OpenWorld floor plan and exhibitors for more details.

The exhibit area will feature CX demonstrations, partners and sponsors, a social networking lounge, a CX film studio, and the Innovation Theater.

Innovation Theater

The CX Showcase features an Innovation Theater – a 50 seat open theater where 30-minute sessions will be held on themes like digital transformation, AI, IoT, Blockchain, virtual assistants, and AR, in addition to CX attractions and technologies like Pepper the Robot, the new 2018 Yamaha YZ450F – an IoT-enabled Yamaha motorcycle, AR app demonstrations, and innovations from independent software vendor (ISV) partners.

Collective Learning
